During the opening and several times after, Kevin Sullivan performed “Towards an Ape Theatre Part VI: The Simian Racket” on the area where Goethe and his nature-loving colleagues supposedly met in the 19th century. Using instruments build from recycled objects, Sullivan’s group “Simian Racket” presented a “non-electric, rock and roll show in the forest as an interactive, non-digital, virtual reality (2018 catalog, p. 53).
